Maintenance

Oct 23, 2026

Completed - The scheduled maintenance has been completed.
Oct 23, 09:46 CEST
In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Oct 22, 09:52 CEST
Scheduled - Due to a critical security vulnerability in PHP (CVE-2026-109618 / CVE-2026-109619), we are applying security updates across our entire infrastructure. This covers network, firewall and load balancer systems, internal systems and the infrastructure of our managed service customers.
Services remain available during the maintenance. The updates are rolled out step by step, one system at a time on our redundant setups. Short interruptions of a few seconds up to a few minutes may occur. Existing connections (e.g. VPN or database sessions) may be dropped briefly and may need to be re-established.
No action is required on your side. We will post an update here once the work is complete.
Thank you for your understanding.

Scheduled - second update in progress

Plesk has now released fixed packages for the older PHP versions 7.4, 8.0 and 8.1 as well. We are installing them today on all servers with managed service. The version numbers stay the same (7.4.33, 8.0.30, 8.1.34), but the packages contain the PHP project's security fixes. No action is needed on your side. PHP services will restart briefly during the update.

Status after this update:
- PHP 7.4 to 8.5: fixed.
- PHP 7.3 and older: still no fix available. The mitigation applied yesterday stays active, but it does not fully close the vulnerability.
- Plesk panel: Plesk has announced the fix (18.0.81 Update 4). We will install it as soon as it is available.

Our recommendation remains: switch websites running PHP 8.1 or older to PHP 8.3 or newer. Versions 7.4, 8.0 and 8.1 no longer receive regular updates, and PHP 8.2 only until 31.12.2026.

Completed - The scheduled maintenance has been completed.

In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Oct 21, 16:08 CEST
Scheduled - Two critical PHP vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, CVSS 9.2) allowing remote code execution were published today. All PHP versions are affected, regardless of the application in use.

What we are doing now:

We are installing the patched PHP versions on all managed servers:
- PHP 8.2.35
- PHP 8.3.36
- PHP 8.4.27
- PHP 8.5.12

Websites running PHP 8.2 or newer are protected automatically after the update, no action needed on your side. PHP services will restart briefly during the update, which may cause short delays when loading pages.

What is still pending:

- PHP 7.4, 8.0 and 8.1: Plesk has announced patched packages but has not given a date yet. As soon as they are available, we will install them in a second maintenance window and announce it here.
- Plesk panel (sw-engine): the fix is announced as a Plesk hotfix and will follow.
- PHP 7.3 and older: there will be no fix for these versions. Affected websites remain vulnerable.

Our recommendation: please switch websites running PHP 8.1 or older to PHP 8.3 or newer in Plesk (Websites & Domains > PHP). Check your application's compatibility first. If you wish, we can do the switch for you.
